Poor old Roy Hodgson

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 At last they’ve named the new manager
so it’s time for all the hype to begin
but I really pity poor old Roy Hodgson
especially when his team fail to win.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The press will be out to get him
when all he can do is try his best
but they”ll pick faults and take the mickey
as they have done with all the rest.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Let’s face it England just aren’t very good
and fans have known that for a long while
but the media build them up to be giants
and when they’re not they quickly turn vile.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 England sadly will never win a big tournament
so all Roy can do is smile and pretend
while his players make him age even quicker
and eventually he’ll go completely around the bend.

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 I reckon Harry didn’t want the job anyway
as White Hart lane is where he wants to be
but Roy can’t wait to leave the Baggies
and England manager looks good on his C.V.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 So good luck and all the best Mr Hodgson
may your time be fruitful and really jolly
but please no hanky-panky with Ulrika
or standing there holding a large stupid Brolly !

Notes

I like Roy Hodgson but let’s be honest here, whoever took charge wouldn’t bring a trophy home would they ?

But I wish him all the best, and with our press behind him boy oh boy he is going to need it !
