Rob Martinez’ Blue and White Army

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 1 We’re Rob Martinez’ Army,
Throughout the Land well-known.
Our Faith is granite, adamant,
About that make no bones.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A Football Club, no brand, are we,
Worldwide is our renown –
On bark of trees across the globe
Engraved our name is found.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Our Stadium is Goodison,
Sweet Home with none to share,
And any thought of moving out
We find too hard to bear.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 “Nil Satis Nisi Optimum!”
We bawl with pride-puffed chests.
(Though sadly this proud motto’s
No longer on our Crest).

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 We’ve little time for Tottenham,
We can’t abide Man U,
Nor either Club in Nottingham,
Or other teams in Blue.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 We’re Marti’s Blueclad Peltasts,
From the murky Mersey’s shores,
And if you can’t decide who to support,
Come join us, climb aboard!

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 2/8/13

Notes

This is a re-working of my earlier, now out of date poem entitled David Moyes’s Blue and White Army.
