Root and branch change at the FA

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Yes, he’ll be taking a new route to work
As Brian Barwick seeks alternative employment
But I fail to see how that alone
Will better our footy fetish enjoyment

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 And now he follows in the footsteps
Of the likes of Croker and Crozier
But I’m sure there’ll be many more who
Trend to the template of dopey and dozier

Notes

I’m sure they all approach the job with the best of intentions.

But football doesn’t fit the standard business model.
It shouldn’t be about profit & loss.

Income should equate to attendance (not necessarily paid)
And Profit should equate to gratification

One day, football could be at the forefront of a greenkissed Utopia.
With home and away travel in carbon neutral self energising modes of transportation.
With specialised seats generating power from the warmth of the fans and also from the impact of seats bobbing up and down with the advent of each attacking play.
With terraces and walkways to the stadiums generating power from the footfall onto specialised thoroughfares (the technology is already on it’s way).
And where modern advances which benefit mankind are part and parcel of the makeup of this Beautiful game.
