Tarnished Crown

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Can you still hear our justice cry?
Still searching hard for reasons why.
Ever seen such an obvious case?
Corruption staring us right in the face.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Do you know that we were betrayed?
Have you seen how many flowers laid?
British justice system, too often a joke.
But together we stood, together we spoke.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Chained up justice, longing to be free.
Devoted campaigners will make that be.
Together they’ve fought to bring liars down.
British Justice system with its tarnished crown.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 JUSTICE FOR ALL

Notes

Recently had a book of Hillsborough poems called 25 Years of Hillsborough Pain published (www.countyvise.co.uk) check it out if you can please. The above poem is not actually in the book, which does contain 200 other Hillsborough poems. The book contains much longer poems than the type I normally submit here.
