The Entertainers

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 When I’m not watching football
And feeling quite bored
I climb the stairs to the spare room
Where my memories are stored.
Great North Run tee shirts
Worn out old trainers
And a VHS video called
‘The Entertainers’
Among old LP records
The Beatles and Stones
Black n White tele’s
And discarded old phones.
Piles of old programmes
That forever I’ll keep
A Millennium Falcon
And an Action Man jeep.
A full set of golf clubs
That I never did use
A framed ‘Evening Chronicle’
Proclaiming the news
That the Toon have signed Shearer
For a world record fee
To team up with Keegan
Beardsley and Lee
Ginola and Asprilla
All those goals that they scored
I can sit and watch in the spare room
Where my memories are stored.

Notes

Memories are made of these. Howay the lads.
