The Pitiful Act that is George Best

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Times run out for a “football legend”
Who trades punches like a tired old drunk
Too many excuses pitiful pleas
No more sorrys your time is up
I’m sick of hearing people saying
Its on the pitch that matters most
But its been too long since Best immortal
Slipped through defences like the Holy Ghost
Anyone else the book would be thrown
In normal life no excuses left
He’s conned the world for decades now
So let him leave the stage by his own hands wrecked.
