WC 2006 : Day 12

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 England 2 – 2 Sweden

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Losing Michael Owen to injury in the first minute, is unlucky
Having Theo Walcott in reserve, is not
Having Rooney unready, was a gamble
Bringing only four strikers, was not
‘Twas misguided – and rightly chided
In fact, does Sven care a jot?
Is it all a plot?
To get back at us for the fake sheikh ploy?
Will he enjoy
All the heartbreak, his mismanagement brings?
Still we hope, we urge, the crowd loyally sings
But Sven has left us in the lurch, before he even departs
He’ll be off, with a big pay-off
When right now, we should be discussing who starts :
Defore or Bent, both fit and ready
Maybe not world-beaters, but experienced and steady
There should be no Walcott or Hargreaves
As Sven shuffles his pack, but for us it peeves
And as for Jenas, his only mention that I can tell
Should be as an anagram for off-pitch apparel
But instead we’re left to vent our anger and frustration
At how this nincompoop is screwing up our Nation

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 And the rest of the day :
