Why a Christmas Tree is just like a Footballer

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 First of all, they feed you with unnatural chemicals,
So that you experience a massive precocious growth,
And then when you are too big for your roots
You get put in the shop window,
And sold off in the market place.
It’s then that you get your dreams of stardom,
Of a life and career that will last for ever,
But it isn’t long before you kick the bucket,
Because you’re just a 12 day wonder,
Consigned to the dustbin of history.
Who remembers last year’s tree?
