Pogba at eighty nine mill
We’re assured is an absolute steal
Though a red faced Govan knight
Who had the foresight to bid him bye bye
Will be gutted he sold him for zilch!

Sat in the stands (sic) in my cheap plastic seat, Eden Hazard in his prime appeared at least to me A little smiling faced kid, having unfathomable fun That he chose to turn down a shed (sic) load o’ dough To put on a show in empty stadia, where few punters go? Says a lot […]

Carefree…we’ve finally elected our M.P. But will he turn out be…the absolute db’s? Could be eventually. Though…looks to me Like we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we? If, or when we get relegated with Man City After what we’ve seen go down at Everton F.C. Likelihood o’ that, looks more than a possibility. […]

Picture The Scene. Sloane Street. London. 10-52… An empty sherbet, flagged down by a bald good-looking bloke, Says, clearly desperate to get his derriere up and on the go, “Driver, please take me to The Chelsea Arts Club a.s.a.p. and could you do so on the hurry-up, before closing, please?”, This is very much mission-far-from […]

Hi Denys,
Yes Richard Williams you’re a brilliant wordsmith, my friend. When I first saw your football poetry I thought it was the superb Guardian sports and music writer. I once had the honour of sitting next to Richard Williams while at the Independent on the sports desk. He writes about music and sport with immense knowledge and authority. I’ve read a couple of Richard’s books recently. Great writer rather like you Richard Williams the Pompey fan. Congratulations on promotion.

Hi Joe
Shouldn’t your title read your poem Farewell Europe England to everyone exccept Aston Villa ?
I know you mention them in your poem , but I do feel sorry for Villa re the national press .
Largely ignored. the hype was was all about Man City & Arsenal with a bit of a nod to the Hammers..but hardly a mention of Villa..
So well done to them

Hi Crispin. Chris Sutton on the radio has gone for a Chelsea v Coventry final. As we know anything can happen in the Cup, and I reckon we can go to the final.
We’re still in with a chance of the play offs too, so lots to go for.

Hey Kev
Let the masses drool over their odds on City v Unted Final, but who knows how pressure can hit.
Cov and Chels will be rightly labelled as having no chance..but hey …stranger things have happened..
so Chelsea v Coventry…that’s the Final for us!
Best
