A City United ( JFT96 )

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Alas the day arrives once more
When lives were shattered and dreams were torn
a day of excitement soon turned to dismay
As 96 angels left Hillsborough that day

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 on that fateful day in 89
when 96 reds lost their lives
The lies were spread from day one
from the police, the government and that rag ” the scum”

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 The campaign has raged for 23 years
Through all the heartache, anger and tears
To all the families dignified and true
A city united in honour of you

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 As red and blue stood side by side
Joined together by compassion and pride
Everton’s behaviour proved their class
At Wembley and at the Anfield mass

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 we celebrate their lives every year
Remember them through laughter and tears
To all the reds who never came home
We sing “you’ll never walk alone”

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 The fight for truth will never cease
As our united heart does beat
Through all the lies and dirty tricks
We will get justice for the 96 !!!!!!!
