At playing fields near river
Call sacred Father Thames
With Stamford Bridge just up the road
As that glistening jewel softly bends
I caught this bug
Though as if drugged
And have been so since then

Oh Anna Lee across the sea
In city known as Cork
I love you as a lover
Though its cockney that I talk

You’re in my thoughts
On Thameside walks
And will ever so remain
I am a London Irish bloke
Torn between two rivers
Its a blue that I’m commited to
So Chelsea’s in my veins

Not Fulham from the Cottage
Or Rangers from the Bush
Or anything from North London
We won’t talk about here…shush!!!

The Irish follow Arsenal
The Jews support the Spurs
The East End follow West Ham
With ethnicity and verve

In London we’ve a mixture
A great big melting pot
Of different teams
Who create dreams
For fans from all this lot

We have a friendly rivalry
At times through out the year
But there’s no place I’d rather be
Than London
That’s why I’m here!
