A Right Liberty!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Another Premiership rip off for the punters
Another expensive training match farce
Did they offer a discount for a second string run-out
As they rested those highly paid stars?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 A real non event with good money spent
On travel and getting off work
Yet they let us turn up, like a real bunch of mugs
As unknowns parade in our shirts

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I don’t think United had one shot all night
In anger at Carlo in goal
And where were the team who had won title fight
Christano, Wayne, Giggsy and Scholes?

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Some serious cash was laid out last night
Taking kids to see the stars in both teams
How can they justify it? Somethings not right
With no idols on field to be seen

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 If Man Yoo and Chelsea want to have a kickabout
Where there’s nothing at stake, I implore
That they do the decent thing, let us punters know
Then go and play the match behind closed doors!

Notes

Talk about extracting the oracle, as Chelsea and Man Yoo send out two teams loaded up with stiffs, whilst thousands of excited punters turn up expecting to see the new league champions at Stamford Bridge last night.

If I’d have known it was gonna be a training match, I’d have stayed at work, listened to the wireless and gave me ticket to one of me kids!

What about the mums and dads and their kids all decked out in red and blue shirts who had laid out their hard earned gelt to watch, what was basically, a combination or as they used to have in the North a central league match? A right liberty and no mistake!
