Notes

This poem is dedicated to my father who was a lifelong supporter of West Bromwich Albion. It is written in the form of a hay(na)ku where the lines of each stanza consist of three words, two words and one word. The title is also an oblique reference to the world of poetry being the title of an influential anthology of poetry published by Penguin Books in the 1960s, edited by Michael Horovitz.
