Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 We’re out….
Of excuses, why we failed to proceed
Too many matches, tiredness, fatigue
The boys are distraught, but they’re all agreed
What’s paramount now, is to focus on league

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 This humbling could kickstart our season
As climbing the league is a must
I don’t know if me haircuts the reason
We were scalped in this round of the cup

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 I brought a new coat for this cup run
Elegant, expensive and chic
But now we’ve been beat, it’s useless to me
Like our back line, it’s just sprung a leak

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 We took team to a juant in Mojorca
To prepare for a physical game
What! Blue sea and warm climates are setting them up
For Saturdays tie at Gigg Lane?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 The cup is a vehicle for bundles of cash
Yet we didn’t turn up in the replay
It would be nice to have known
We were gonna be thrashed

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Before we drove all that way to see team play!

Every time I hear a strange reason why…. a cup run has come to an end, I just can’t help but smle.

There’ll be a few excuses, tomorrow, after this evening’s Champions league matches and at the weekend when the FA Cup run comes to an abrupt halt for some of us.
