Liverpool the name conjures up the eternal child
In me named by 18 Leagues 4 European Cups
The smile of Emlyn Hughes eclipsed the moon
That night in Rome whilst Bob savoured immortality
And wore a crown of cloth
Then King Kenny his Peter
Carried the keys to the kingdom
In his boots whilst Razor crossed like a blessing
We prayed prayers answered with
The arrival of Shankly
In Liverpool
For these are glorious times.
