Notes

As the actor Donald Sutherland aka Oddball in the film Kelly’s Hero’s says “Always with the negative waves Motson”. Or was it Moriarty?

Anyway really lovely to hear the singing ringing around the national stadium last night in spite of Motson. If you ever go to Wemberly pray there’s no action to speak of just after the interval as you’ll probably still be trying to get in to the loo’s or queing up for refreshments well in to the second half.

Some fans when I was there, made their own arrangements, but we don’t need to go into that here!

Bring on the Russians, Czechs, French and anyone else who may be playing against the home countries this week.
