The big C

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 A curve ball
I trap it on my chest
A sweeper, catenaccio, doing his job
Up to me, to cut it out

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 But not this time –
This ball is foreign
This ball is expanding
This ball is invading
No amount of sweeping, will clear it
No, this one’s for the surgeon

Fortunately, this one is not autobiographical.
Dedicated to whomsoever this may pertain to.

Updated note :

Unfortunately, this proved to be prescient prose.
Within weeks, we learned bad news.
Dedicated to Mum.
