The Story So Far…..

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Behind the rows and rows of empty seats
The poor flog peanuts in the streets
Phil Neville’s voice makes me feel like crying
Then we debate once more did it cross the line?

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 Neymar should have been taken to task
For a blatant Mick McManus smash
As Croatia played a team of twelve
Who’ve to just turn up, it seems, to rule the football World.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Can a golden boy get an early bath?
Are two odd boots the latest chic on grass?
I’ve even noticed footwear just below the knees
That remind me of those worn by Bobby Keetch.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Spain have pained their travelling fans
The Dutch have unity for a change
Meanwhile France are actually playing with their feet
Has Didier Deschamps banned L’Equipe?

5 Leave a comment on verse 5 0 Henry sits smug and bores me stiff
I’m still confused by Rio’s Heskey/Balotelli riff?
Seedorf and Savage at least are funny.
While Danny Murphy’s really on the money.

6 Leave a comment on verse 6 0 Lionel Messi seems to harbour fears
He’ll never ever be Diego’s heir
Then earlier on in another game
The marching band refused to play.

7 Leave a comment on verse 7 0 It’s been a shoddy tournament so far thus (for me)
While the spray can seems to be a plus (at least)
Then as I made and brewed the half-time tea
I thought: this ain’t sport, a deals been done, it’s a travesty.

I was getting the strangest feeling, beforehand, that whether Brazil , win, lose or draw. They’ll still be crowned Champions of The World in this tournament, it’s simply a media and FIFA must, after watching the Croatia game and what went on during said game I’m even more convinced of that now.

So/O I Do Hope We Win The World Cup.

Stay well, be lucky and keep smiling.
