Notes

Tuesday 3rd July, 2018

England 1-1 Columbia

England, FINALLY, win a penalty shootout!
4-3.

Kane
Rashford
Henderson (saved, Ospina)
Trippier
Dier

Big surprise was that Jamie Vardy didn’t take one.

Fortunately, Columbia hit the crossbar with their fourth one, and then the mighty Jordan Pickford saved their fifth – and Eric Dier kept his nerve to stroke home the winner!!!!

(being hyper critical – I thought Dier was poor in the 40 or so minutes he was on the pitch, with a lot of miss-placed passes, but hey-ho!)

Also:
Sweden 1-0 Switzerland
