What’s In a Kit?

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Norwich City have a new away kit
The launch described it as red and purple
Which is really bad news for a football poet
As nothing at all rhymes with purple

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 The shirt itself is quite a treat
One that I would be happy to wear
It’ll go with my neon pink boots
And my green and yellow hair

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Makes a change from our softer hues
Red and purple is a violent mix
Our team will be toughened up by
‘Three Lungs’ Holt and Adams ‘ace spot-kicks’

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 City need to reinvent themselves
For the championship onslaught
We have to disassociate the club
From that relegated team, ‘Norwich Nought’

Notes

Right, I’ve eaten an ice cream, been scorched by sun, devoured by insects, flooded by freak storms (all in one day). As far as I’m concerned, that’s summer done. Bring on the new season!

Good luck to Neil Adams and Gary Holt, please bring back attack, attack, attack, playing with a smile and I’ll support you all the way to a top six finish…
