When In Rome, Do As The Romans Do…Defend!

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 Led like lambs to the slaughter? Certainly
Fed like Christians to the lions? S’right
As them Romans took their just revenge
On Londinium conquerors last night.

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 At any stage were we in the game?
Not once, without a doubt
When JT controlled one with his hand
We were fending off a rout.

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 “No Totti, No Party” a banner read
As our night went bad from to worse
Their joyous occasion went straight ahead
As they emphatically partied without us.

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 As we trudged off, easily beaten at the end
Reduced to ten, and a long long way from home
In Europe, it’s clear, we’ve gotta learn to defend
Or it’s Arrivederci Roma!

Notes

We were easily beaten, so can have no compliants.

If Christian Panucci; who scored for Roma last night, played a few games for us, some eight years ago, and who I seem to remember won a Prima Liga medal with Real Madrid, under Fabio Capello (on his first time in charge there) is still playing top flight football. Then just how old is such an evergreen bloke?
