Zinedine Kilbane

1 Leave a comment on verse 1 0 The awkward motion
of a galloping giraffe
yet similarly, as deceptively fast

2 Leave a comment on verse 2 0 With all the dexterity
of an elephant sewing
it’s head down, push and run

3 Leave a comment on verse 3 0 Up the line at speed
full backs hard pressed to keep up
he’s lolloping like a lapwing

4 Leave a comment on verse 4 0 Though no longer ‘Killer’ of lore
the gap toothed smile
happily evident, all the more

Notes

A resurgent Kevin Kilbane, enjoying his best season to date and Everton riding high (top four at time of writing).
And a new moniker, no longer known as ‘Killer’, but renamed by the Goodison fans as ‘Zinedine’ Kilbane.
He’s even been pressed into a central midfield role for Ireland, given the contention for places alongside Damian Duff and Andy Reid.
